However, my hopes did not materialize, so I focused on my "new" future, how I wanted to organize it, what I wanted to do, what I had long-term expectations as a dark woman, etc.. Then I saw a vacancy as a first aid nurse, which included training. I decided to apply for this, and to my pleasant surprise was accepted. During the job interview, it was honestly told that there was (still) a shortage of this kind of nurse, partly due to the irregular irregularity that goes with this work. All this has been behind me for quite some time now, I have been working for a number of years now and I am very happy with my life so far. And that has only gotten stronger since our team was expanded a few months ago with a very experienced male nurse. He hardly notices the other colleagues, but it is precisely these special qualities in him that attract my attention: he is calm, modest, only says something when it is really necessary, but is also remarkably caring for the patients as his colleagues. Moreover, during the last night shift, when the two of us were together, he almost shyly asked if I wanted to go out with him sometime. My heart jumped for joy when he asked me, and I said calmly and confidently, but also wholeheartedly "yes!".
Today, exactly one year after our marriage, and more than three years after William's first date with me, I make this (closing) entry in my diary. I still can't comprehend how fast everything has gone, it's only been two weeks since I gave birth to our sweet, very alive and very healthy daughter. We are a close-knit family, and thanks to our shift work and the fact that William's parents live close by and also love their first grandchild, we can raise our child - and who knows: "children!" - together. Mutual love is our foundation, so I have every confidence in the future and conclude my diary with this. - Tom -
