During the year I managed, as "new" Dr. Denequa, to keep the machine's existence a secret. Over the course of the year, I regularly examined the machine and discovered, little by little, how it was built and how it was supposed to function. My thorough neuroscience knowledge came in handy here. However, it would never come to a (new) use, because I soon discovered that Dr. Denequa, who was in his late thirties, had a fairly large circle of friends, with many good contacts. And with one of these contacts, also a neuroscientist, William Malden, we not only clicked very well, but the relationship also deepened over the year. After about a year and a half of dating, we decided to move on together and set a wedding date in early September. The rest is history, more than a year after getting married I gave birth to the sweetest fraternal twins, a girl and a boy. Then after a few years, when I went to take a last look at the machine, I smiled at the sight of it, and placed a sign next to it that read: "For the honest finder: who really wants to live a loving life, use this device at your own risk. No danger to life present, but a one-way street transformation .... . Only useful for those who love love .... ." - Tom -
